“childhood disease, in our website,s” did not include smallpox but did include chickenpox.
Even the common cold killed off many.
In the rest of the world, these disease, in our website,s were common and everyone built up resistance. The American Indians had no such resistance. There were dideases that were endemic to the Native Americans that the invaders were killed by which were nothing to the indians.

Question by Death to the Fema-Nazi…: “Environment” is what cause’s Childhood Obesity?
MSNBC news tonight ran a program on obesity…

Mom and Dad are NOT to be held responsible for feeding their children garbage(we can’t hurt people’s feelings for being dumb as a box of rocks), so we’ll just say, it’s the “environment”. Hmmmmm….

What I don’t understand is why then ALL kids are not 300LB at the age of 10 years old?

How do you cure the “disease” know as stupidity? Or is it when no one is responsible, this is societies fault(rolls eyes)?

Your thoughts?

I feel bad for NOT having had another baby. (I tried, but I had PCOS and my husband was later diagnosed with testicular cancer.) I wish my daughter had a sibling. I want her to have someone to reminisce with at my funeral.

Question by Marco M: What SHOULD the Media have asked Obama about health care?
I’m sick of so-called “reporters” tossing softball questions at Obama, so he can hit them out of the park. Why hasn’t anyone asked the obvious questions like” Will the 12 million illegal immigrants living here be covered under your plan?” or “Will your plan use long waiting times to ration care,” or how about “Will we try to save all premature babies?” etc., etc.

I’m not saying I want Obama-care to fail. We have to do something about health care costs, but right we don’t even know what the plan is because our “defenders of democracy,” the media won’t ask the hard questions — like “Who will die because of your cost-savings?”

What questions would you like to hear?
Brasilica, you’re obviously an Obama apologist. Is wanting to KNOW what Obama’s plan is, the same as attacking him? I think not.

1. How will it be paid for?

2. Will it lead to rationing?

3. How will giving more people access to health services bring prices down? Usually increased demand drives prices up.

I believe all Americans should have access to quality health care. However, I am not so sure that the same government that gave us the IRS and the botched response to Hurricane Katrina should be running our health care system.
